Planet Rock is owned by Bauer Media Ltd., and its studios are within Bauer's UK head quarters at 75 Hampstead Road, London. The radio station launched on 15th November 1999.
planet Rock does have competitions, mostly networked. The most recent being Make Me A Winner, where participants can win a pre-determined amount of money at the end of the week, and the prize amount increases every week regardless of a win by the listener. This is a competition also broadcast on most (if not all) Bauer radio stations.
