Magic Radio is a Soft Adult Contemporary station playing a mix of classic hits and newer music from the 1980s to today. The majority of the programming is presenter-led, with famous radio presenters & personalities taking to the mic at peak times. Magic Radio also broadcasts specialist shows at weekends & evenings, to complement their spin-off radio stations (see Rayo tab).

Magic Radio does have competitions, mostly networked. The most recent being Make Me A Winner, where participants can win a pre-determined amount of money at the end of the week, and the prize amount increases every week regardless of a win by the listener. This is a competition also broadcast on most (if not all) Bauer radio stations.

Notable shows & presenters are:

• Gok Wan & Harriet Scott: hosts Magic Radio's weekday Breakfast Show, with localised up-to-the-minute traffic & travel news.
• Nick Snaith: hosts workday mornings on Magic Radio. Nick plays the music, and there are UK news updates on top of the hour.
• Lynn Parsons: Rounding off the weekend with Mellow Magic. This show is also covered on weekdays & Saturday by Angellica Bell, Nicole Appleton, Emma B & Jim Davis.
