Nation Classic Hits is built for listeners who want familiar songs across several decades without being locked into just one era. The station brings together classic pop, soul, rock, disco, soft rock and oldies from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, giving it a wider feel than Nation’s individual decade stations.
The music mix is designed around recognisable songs with broad appeal: radio favourites, singalong choruses, polished pop, guitar-led classics and feel-good oldies that still work well for everyday listening. Nation Classic Hits launched as a classic hits service drawing on Nation’s established decade stations, with a format shaped around upbeat, familiar songs from multiple eras.
Nation Classic Hits is part of Nation Broadcasting’s wider family of UK digital stations. Its schedule combines presenter-led daytime shows with longer music blocks, giving the station a more traditional radio feel than a plain playlist while keeping the focus firmly on well-known classic hits.
