Nation 00s focuses entirely on music from the 2000s, a decade packed with huge pop hooks, R&B crossover hits, guitar-driven chart favourites and dance tracks that still sound instantly recognisable. The station’s format is simple and strong: familiar 00s songs back-to-back, with enough variety to cover the different sounds that shaped the decade.
The music mix makes Nation 00s useful for listeners who want a proper 2000s station rather than a general classics service with the occasional 00s track thrown in. Expect songs from the era of Rihanna, Coldplay, Ne-Yo, James Morrison, Pixie Lott, Usher, Nelly Furtado and other artists who helped define mainstream radio in the decade.
Nation 00s is part of Nation Broadcasting’s wider group of decade and genre stations. Its schedule blends presenter-led daytime shows with specialist 00s blocks and non-stop music, giving the station a clean identity: upbeat, familiar and focused on the songs that dominated radio, downloads, CDs, clubs and music television through the 2000s.
Notable shows & presenters are:
- Alex Duffy: Presenter of 00s Breakfast with Alex Duffy, the weekday morning show built around familiar 2000s hits to start the day.
- Tony Dibbin: Presenter of 00s Workday with Tony Dibbin, a daytime show featuring the station’s mix of pop, R&B, dance, rock and chart favourites from the 2000s.
- The 00s Music Marathon: A weekend block dedicated to extended runs of 2000s music, keeping the station focused on the decade without drifting into a general hits format.
- Chilled 00s: A late-evening Nation 00s feature built around the softer and more relaxed side of the 2000s.
- The Best Variety of 00s Hits: Nation 00s’ core non-stop music output, covering the decade’s pop, R&B, dance, rock and chart favourites.
