Swansea Bay Radio is built around Swansea Bay and South West Wales, with local coverage for Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and nearby communities. Its format mixes familiar songs with useful local information, giving the station a clear local role rather than feeling like a generic music stream with a Welsh label attached.
The station returned to the Swansea Bay Radio name in 2024 and has since sharpened its local identity. A major part of that is the weekday breakfast show with Leigh & Claire, who joined Swansea Bay Radio after their time on local commercial radio in South Wales. That gives the station a stronger local personality at the most important part of the day.
Swansea Bay Radio is part of Nation Broadcasting and sits alongside other Nation local stations in South and West Wales.
