NonStopPlay is a UK online music station launched on 4 May 2003 by founders Matt Cadman and James Lewis. It was created during the early growth of internet radio as an alternative for listeners who wanted current dance and R&B music without the heavier speech content found on conventional youth radio stations. The first track played by the station was Modjo's Lady (Hear Me Tonight), selected by a competition winner.
The playlist centres on current rhythm-and-dance music, commercial house, club tracks, R&B, pop crossovers and remixes, with regular old-skool records mixed into the output. Recent playlists have included artists such as Gorgon City, Jazzy, Felix Jaehn, NOTION, Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa and David Guetta, giving the station a broader sound than a service devoted only to underground electronic music.
