Rewind Radio Retro launched across Cornwall on 15 October 2026 as the sister station to Cornwall's Rewind Radio. The new service was created to give the older end of the Rewind music library a home of its own, concentrating on the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s while the original Rewind Radio moved towards a newer mix. The launch was led by former BBC Radio Cornwall presenter Matt Shepherd, with listeners choosing Queen's Don't Stop Me Now as the first song played on the new station.
The music is deliberately familiar without being reduced to the same tiny oldies playlist on repeat. Rewind Radio Retro moves through three huge decades of pop, rock, soul, disco and classic hits, mixing obvious singalong records with songs that have become harder to hear on mainstream radio. Weekdays are built around Matt Shepherd in the morning, Lacey B through the daytime and Mark Dodson on Drivetime, followed by non-stop music in the evening.
There is a strong Cornwall thread running through the station. Rewind Radio Ltd operates from Redruth and the Retro service broadcasts on DAB+ across Cornwall, while its presenter line-up includes several voices with long careers in Cornish radio. - John Flowers – Disco Inferno: John Flowers presents Disco Inferno on Saturday afternoons, focusing on disco, soul, dancefloor favourites and feel-good records from the 1970s and 1980s.
- Jack Murley – Sunday Afternoons: Jack Murley presents Sunday Afternoons from midday to 4pm with four hours of retro favourites, classic hits and weekend music for listeners across Cornwall.
- Matthi Clark – Weekend Gold Rush: Matthi Clark fronts Weekend Gold Rush on Sunday afternoons from 4pm, digging through classic hits, treasured favourites and less obvious songs from the station's retro decades.
