Q2 is the HD2 digital subchannel of KLAQ 95.5 in El Paso, Texas. It is identified as KLAQ-HD2 and is available on 95.5 HD2 using a compatible HD Radio receiver. The service forms part of KLAQ rather than holding a separate FCC broadcast licence, with the parent KLAQ licence assigned to El Paso.
While the main KLAQ service concentrates on mainstream and current rock, Q2 provides a classic-rock alternative built around established album rock and deeper cuts. KLAQ has described Q2 as its album-rock service for classic rock deep cuts, giving the HD2 channel a noticeably different musical identity from the main 95.5 service.
Q2 is operated alongside KLAQ by Townsquare Media from the group's El Paso operation. The service also provides KLAQ with an alternative music stream during some special programming on the main station; for example, KLAQ has used Q2 as the continuing rock stream while 95.5 carries Dallas Cowboys football.
